Introduction to BMM Cozumel

At our central unit we offer specialized medical care for patients suffering from Decompression Sickness, Arterial Gas Embolism and practically all accidents derived from diving and aquatic sports, ie: traumas, lesions inflicted by marine creatures (stings, allergic reactions) etc.

We also have the ability to perform Surgery, ENT Services & we have an X-Ray unit on premises.

In 1999 BMM started the building of an emergency facility straight in front of Cozumel Reef at Palancar beach and the first clinic in Mexico specialized in diving-related medicine. It is located in San Miguel de Cozumel, capital of Cozumel.

The original chamber was then relocated in the year 2000 to the beach facility and another chamber was then installed in the clinic the same year.

Both BMM Cozumel hyperbaric facilities have bilingual personnel, trained for treating emergencies and specialized in diving-related accidents. All physicians have special education in Diving Medicine and hyperbaric therapy and are certified divers.
