Welcome to the SSS Recompression Chamber Network
Qualification
for Membership
To become an affiliated member of the SSS Recompression Chamber Network the applying Hyperbaric company must demonstrate its willingness to adhere to minimum threshold levels of standards and service.
This level is set by the SSS Recompression Chamber Network and if accepted by the applying Hyperbaric company, we will provide the appropriate operational, training and safety manuals in order for each company to standardize operationalpolicy procedures as well as printed formats and reporting in the areas of administration, maintenance, safety records, physical plant upgrades and training.
Further, The SSS Recompression Chamber Network will:
1. Assist in the purchasing of equipment and supplies that are not availablelocally.
2. Make site visits to evaluate current conditions and provide recommendations.
3. Engage in periodic site visits to every location after initial setup with the purpose to provide an operational audit report per location at the end of each visit.
4. Be available to assist any affiliated Hyperbaric company on demand. Benchmarks
Divers Alert Network
The SSS Recompression Network has close ties with the Divers Alert Network (DAN). Dan is a unique organization dedicated to safety, education and research in the scuba diving community. Founded in 1980 at Duke University Medical Center as recreational scuba diving's 24-hour emergency hotline for injured divers. This nonprofit organization, today is an international dive safety leader supported by the largest association of divers in the world. Dan Referral Facility
The SSS Network is continually working in meeting the high standards required to be a DAN Referral Facility. This means that DAN determines who has the proper technical and human resources to render quality care to any injured divers in their 250,0000 member-strong organization.
DAN Alarm Center
Branches of the SSS Recompression Chamber Network have also been designated as DAN Alarm Centers. DAN Alarm Centers engage in training, research and general diver safety information. This is where a diver can get the latest information on:
1. Fitness for Diving Information Updates
2. Contra-indications to Diving,
3. Medication & Diving Information,
4. DAN 02 Provider and First Aid Courses
